Канадский Ванкувер возглавил рейтинг самых комфортных для жизни городов. Вслед за Ванкувером идет столица Австрии Вена, а замыкает лидирующую тройку австралийский Мельбурн.

Примечательно, что Ванкувер и Мельбурн оказались не единственными городами из своих стран, включенными в первую десятку. Так, Канаду представляют еще Торонто и Калгари, а Австралию - Перт и Сидней. Кроме того, два своих города - Цюрих и Женеву - в первую десятку делегировала маленькая альпийская Швейцария.

В лидерах рейтинга, кроме Мельбурна и Сиднея, нет мегаполисов, а также ни одного из гигантских городов, которые принято считать финансово-промышленными столицами мира.

К примеру, Париж расположился на 17-й строчке, Токио - на 19-й, Лондон - на 51-й, а Нью-Йорк - на 58-й. Российские столицы Петербург (78,5%) и Москва (78,4%) расположились на 67-м и 69-м месте соответственно, немного не дотянув до уровня 80%, который дает статус города повышенной комфортности.

It should be noted that Vancouver and Melbourne were not the only cities nominated by their countries that were included in the top ten spots of the EIU ranking. Thus, Canada is also represented by Toronto and Calgary, Australia - by Perth and Sydney. Besides, the small country of Switzerland delegated to the top ten two of its cities - Zurich and Geneva. Among the leaders of the rated cities, except for Melbourne and Sydney, there are neither mega cities, nor any of the giant cities that are usually perceived as the world’s financial and industrial capitals.

Thus, Paris is found on the 17-th spot, Tokyo – on the 19-th, London – on the 51-st, and New York – on the 58-th. The Russian capitals - St. Petersburg (78,5%) and Moscow (78,4%) took the 67-th and 69-th places correspondingly, just a little bit less than would be needed to get the status of an increased liveability (80%).
