2003 REALTORS® Conference & Expo News

This year from 6 to 10 November in San Francisco USA have been hold the REALTORS® Conference and Expo. This event was organized and conducted by USA National Association of Realtors (NAR ). The Annual Meeting of Armenian National Association of Realtors and Appraisers

The Annual Meeting of Armenian National Association of Realtors and Appraisers (NARA) will take place at 4th April. Besides the members themselves of NARA, there are invited the honor guests to participate in the meeting: Norman Flynn - the President of International Real Estate Foundation (formerly Eastern European Property Foundation), William Malkhasian - the President of Wisconsin State Association of Realtors, George Badescu - Senior Certified Valuer IREF Trainer, Clark Wallace - IREF expert on Real Estate Licensing, who will special arrive to Armenia for this event. Also are invited the officials from State Committee for Real Estate Registration under Government of Armenia, Ministry of Governmental Property and others. The agenda of meeting are: the Annual report of the NARA's Director Board and the Work's Plan for year 2003. Mr. Wallace with the work group from local membership will view also the Lisence Law and then analyze the law, take input from the local work group and make a master recommendation for changes.

International Real Estate Foundation plans to hold Seminars at May in Yerevan

Peter Shuttleworth and Judith Lindenau will hold the seminars for the members of NARA during one week in May. The Theme of Seminars are: "Multilisting Systems and Sofware for Data Tracking" and "Ethic Code". All the realtors - members of NARA as well, as the interested others, are invited to participate in the seminars' work.

International Real Estate Foundation holds the Education Seminar "Training the Trainers" in Yerevan

George Badescu Senior Certified Valuer, IREF Trainer during last week conducted the Seminar for Armenian realtors and appraisers, regarding appraisal of real estate, named "Training the Trainers". The problems and factors that could influence on the price of real estate are the main theme of the Seminar. The wide spectra of factors was discussed, such as : Social (demography and family structure, etc.), economic(revenue level and employment rate, cost of homebuilding), the environment's impact (location, transport, climate etc.), governmental (taxes and monetary politics...), and legal(the rights for sale, lease and mortgage, and the governmental right for foreclosure). Even the only short list of the mentioned questions, evidently reveals the importance and usefulness of the Seminar for Armenian realtors and appraisers.

International Real Estate Foundation holds the Eighth Annual CEREAN Conference and the National Association of Realtors Preliminary CIPS Education Program

From 15th to 17th October International Real Estate Foundation will conduct eighth annual conference of National Associations and CIPS education program "Ethic Cod" in St. Petersburg Russia. The Armenian Association NARA will be presented by President of Akcern Inc. Hakop Baghdasaryan, Executive Director of NARA Samvel Ghazaryan, Chairman of NARA Vardan Saponjyan and Director of Bars Agency Vardan Avakyan. Essentials of International Real Estate will be offered an overview of the international real estate, business environment including currency issues, investments trends, and cross cultural relationships. The participants will Learn how to measure investment performance, prepare financial projections and understand the effects of taxes and exchange rates on investments. Some cases of Ethic Cod violation by realtors will be considered as well. The program is sponsored by International Real Estate Foundation and AED of USAID.

Internatioanal Real Property Foundation (IRPF) Holds a Seminar on Basic Selling Skills in Yerevan

Mrs. Doris S. Barrell and Mrs. Joanne Johnson from Virginia, USA have honored us with their visit to Armenia at May 29-30. The aim was training Seminar on Basic selling skills, they held for NARA members. During the seminar they introduced listeners to the USA real Estate Market System as well, as the basic communication strategies, the foundation of profitable business, business plan creation etc. Also were discussed a lot of secrets to help our realtors for their successful work in real estate realm. The Seminar was lively held by played business games, done group works. Finally the prizes were awarded. Not only NARA members participated in Seminar's work, but the realtors from such agencies as "Madatyan", "ARNI", "Caloria" and others. The entire Seminar turned out to be very fruitful for Armenian realtors and will improve things in real estate market, as well.

Norman D. Flynn and Bill Malkhasyan Visits Armenia

Recently two well known persons in US Real Estate field Norman D. Flynn - the President of International Real Estate Foundation (formerly Eastern European Property Foundation), and Bill Malkhasyan - the President of Wisconsin State Association of Realtors attended Akcern Inc. during their visit in Armenia at 24th April. The visit's aim was to cooperate with and extend the activities of newly created Armenian Association NARA. Their visit promoted to involve a few more members in NARA, whose total number of members grew up now to 20.

The National Association of Realtors and Appraisers

On the 10th December two biggest companies in Armenian real estate market Akcern Inc. and "Bars" Real Estate Agency have been founded the new organization: National Association of Realtors and Appraisers (NARA). The new organization has not any restriction for the others to join them, becoming a member. For membership just enough to make appropriate one time contribution and monthly membership fee. Management Board in head of Executive President manages NARA; members meeting on the democratic base accept all the important and essential solutions. There are many advantages to be involved as member in such union, - because two most experienced big Armenian real estate companies offer to their less successful colleagues the help and technical support in different fields, related to real estate : market information, programs and technical equipment, using global and local networks. All these will make more easy and efficient realtor's work, therefore bring more profit. The main goal of the Founders of National Association of Realtors and Appraisers - is to make more harmonic the further development of all Armenian real estate companies and create the real partnership between them. And the only way to reach this aim is to help and support each other, by experience and information changing. So let's wish them good luck!
