he international rating of the “Akcern” Corporation is based on the international recognition of the high level
of the Corporation’s performance and supported by numerous prizes and awards. Thus, on June 21, 2004 the “Akcern” Corporation got the 18th International Quality Summit Award in New York,
USA for quality, leadership, incorporation of modern technologies and other achievements within the category “Platinum” established by “B.I.D.”, a globally renowned European company. This
award became the logical continuation of the nomination in Paris where the “Akcern” Corporation was marked with a Gold Prize for Quality.
Striving to build on the current achievements and implementing a targeted, persistent policy for its strategic development, the “Akcern” Corporation has come to a new
conceptual solution related to both the globalization processes in the international markets and to the issues of integration of the ethnic Diasporas with Armenia.
Upon studying and analysing its experience that was accumulated over the years, and drawing the relevant conclusions, the Corporation Management took a serious step and
in the very beginning of April, 2009 established a new joint venture in Los Angeles, USA in collaboration with “Washington Capital”, a relatively young organization now active in Armenia,
which, however, has a 30-year-long international work experience and proved to be a significant player in the financial market of our country.
On May 7, 2009, the presentation of the new organization was organized in the “Akcern” Corporation’s VIP hall. Along with the main founders – Mr. Hacob Baghdasaryan,
President of the “Akcern” Corporation, and the cofounder – Mr. Serge Gharibyan, President of the “Washington Capital” who delivered their welcome speeches, honorable guests were also present
at the opening ceremony: Mr. Arsen Ghazaryan, Chairman of the Union of Armenian Businessmen and Mr. Gagik Makaryan, Executive Director of the same organization, Mr. Stepan Petrosyan,
Deputy Minister for the Diaspora Issues, Mr. Manuk Vardanyan, Assistant to the President, Mr. Hovik Hovhannisyan, Deputy Head of the State Cadastre Department, and Ms. Mary Galoyan,
Authorized Representative of the Department for trade and relations with the Diaspora of the US Embassy in the RA.
During the presentation, the organizers of the event noted the main reasons related to the creation of the new corporation, where its important role was also
emphasized in the sphere of the US and RoA real estate markets, and the influence of this structure was outlined not only on the local real estate market but on the entire economy of Armenia.
After the presentation session the founders answered the invitees’ numerous questions.
The invitees were also given an opportunity to express their insights. All the guests came up with quite an optimistic approach and expressed their good wishes for success.
